The World Heritage Centre is at the forefront of the international community’s efforts to protect and preserve.

From emergency assistance to safeguard properties in danger, to long term conservation, management planning, technical assistance, professional training, public and youth education, and awareness-building, the World Heritage Centre and its partners have developed a series of initiatives and have been actively involved in the implementation of projects, participatory workshops, seminars and training courses.

 

ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicants between 18-32 years old.

2. Creativity: Is the video original and aesthetically pleasing?. They are looking for creative stories.

3. Content: What is your connection to the site? The World Heritage site should be clearly identified in the video.

4. Composition: Does it capture the exceptional character of the site?

 

PRIZES

1st Prize:

1. 6 month internship with the African World Heritage Fund in Midrand, South Africa.

2. The prize includes

• Return air tickets to Johannesburg, South Africa
• Stipend

 

2nd Prize:

1.Trip to South Africa to visit the World Heritage site of Robben Island.

2. The prize includes

• Two return air tickets to South Africa
• Ground and ferry transportation to Robben Island
• Full board accommodation on the island for 3 days for 2 people
• Entrance to the World Heritage site and a guided tour
