The ACU are looking for a leader for our New Business team. We have strong ambitions to pursue new income streams to diversify and grow our income and enhance member engagement. To achieve this, the Head of New Business will have overall responsibility for building an evolving and prosperous business development pipeline.

HEAD OF NEW BUSINESS

As Head of New Business, you will be a core member of the Senior Management Team, with responsibility for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that align with the ACU’s mission. You will develop strong external relations with donors, partners and member universities to position the ACU as a partner of choice in the delivery of international higher education projects that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the Commonwealth.

The role is an exciting mix of business development, strategic planning, relationship management and engagement, and operational implementation. We expect the successful candidate to have a solid background in all of these areas.

With a track record of business development, you will have significant experience of business planning and contract management. You will also have knowledge and experience of higher education, international development and the Commonwealth and strong leadership, financial and relationship management skills.

HEAD OF PROGRAMME DELIVERY

As Head of Programme Delivery, you will be a core member of the Senior Management Team, with responsibility for project design, management, evaluation, delivery and reporting. You will also work closely with our New Business team to identify opportunities and help prepare persuasive pitches and bids for projects that align with the ACU’s mission and benefit members and lead to the expansion of the programme delivery team in order to meet ambitious success targets.

The role is an exciting mix of programme delivery, strategic planning, partnerships, contract management, monitoring and evaluation, compliance and financial management. We expect the successful candidate to have a solid background in all of these areas.

With a track record of programme management and delivery, you will have significant experience of business planning and contract management. You will also have knowledge and experience of higher education, international development and the Commonwealth and strong leadership, financial, and project and relationship management skills.
