2019 Mosaic Institute UofMosaic Fellowship Program for Student Leaders Across Canada

Deadline: September 20, 2019.

The UofMosaic Fellowship Program is the university campus-based initiative of the Mosaic Institute. Our dynamic program invests in student leaders who have a commitment and connection to global issues. Fellows receive specialized training and access to professional development opportunities, and work with other students to design initiatives that enable meaningful and peaceful exchanges of ideas on campus.

 

ELIGIBILITY

A. UNDERGRADS:

1. Registered undergraduate student at a Canadian university

2. Demonstrated commitment to conflict resolution, pluralism, and inclusion

3. Student leader who embodies the Fellow Profile of being a strategist, systems-thinker, changemaker, and scholar.

4. Energetic and creative individual who believes in the power of dialogue to resolve conflicts

5. Able to commit to the responsibilities of the Fellowship term (October 2019 – June 2021)

 

B. SENIOR STUDENTS, MASTER’S & PHD’S:

1. Registered student at a Canadian university in at least their 3rd year; or a Master’s/Ph.D candidate.

2. Applicants in their final year are welcome to apply for the duration of the two-year Fellowship
3. UofMosaic alumni from 2017-2018 or earlier are welcome to apply
4. Demonstrated commitment to conflict resolution, pluralism, and inclusion.
5. Student leader who embodies the Candidate Profile of being a strategist, systems-thinker, changemaker,leader, and scholar.
6. Energetic and creative, with experience leading students and the coordination of on-campus events.
7. Available and willing to commit to the entire Fellowship term (October 2019 – June 2021)

The Fellowship is comprised of four components:

  1. Professional development and leadership training focused on applying respectful dialogue and conflict resolution skills
  2. Campus dialogues to reduce polarization and conflict among students
  3. Research and publication opportunity for Fellows to be published
  4. Joint youth conference with all Mosaic Institute youth program participants
