2019 IAYMH Bursary to attend the 5th International Conference on Youth Mental Health

Deadline: March 24, 2019.

The International Association for Youth Mental Health (IAYMH) is committed to the active involvement and participation of young people as part of its charter to change the way the global community think about young people’s mental health.

The 5th International Conference on Youth Mental Health, United for Global Change, will be held in Brisbane, Australia from 26–28 October 2019. As with previous conferences, conference bursaries are provided to assist young people to attend and participate in the conference.

ELIGIBILITY

Bursaries are open to young people who:

  • Are aged 18–25 years at the time of the conference (26-28 October 2019). The IAYMH cannot currently accept applicants from people under 18 as we are not in a position to best provide support to this age group.
  • Have an academic or personal interest in youth mental health.
  • Have contact, a connection or relationship with an organisation such as health, youth or an educational institution or similar (not essential). This is not essential, but the IAYMH hope that young people can attend with additional financial or non-financial support from other organisations.
  • Have a willingness to co-chair a session during the conference with another person (you will be provided with additional information on what is required prior to the conference).
  • An interest in engaging in social media throughout the conference.
  • Be a member of the IAYMH – It’s free and easy to join, and you can become a member here.

FUNDING

APPLICATION

To support as many young people as possible, and to promote organisational support, bursary applications that detail organisational support (financial or non-financial) may be prioritised during the selection process. In instances where successful applicants have financial support from another organisation (e.g. funding towards flights or accomodation), applicants may be provided a limited bursary that accounts for the external financial support to allow the IAYMH to support more young people. Please fill out this form and upload it.
