2019 IAS Scholarship Programme

Deadline: January 24, 2019.

Through the IAS 2019 Scholarship Programme, the conference organizers commit themselves to making the conference accessible to community representatives, healthcare workers, junior investigators and media representatives from resource-limited settings.

International scholarships are open to anyone around the world working or volunteering in the field of HIV and AIDS and who is at least 16 years old at the time of the conference.

International scholarships seek to support:

  • Abstract presenters whose submission has been selected
  • Those whose participation will help enhance their work in their own communities
  • Those who are able to assist in the transfer of skills and knowledge acquired at the conference
  • Individuals who are part of a key population or living with HIV

 

ELIGIBILITY

The IAS 2019 Scholarship Programme is open to anyone around the world working or volunteering in the field of HIV and AIDS and who is at least 16 years old at the time of the conference. Priority will be given to:

  • Abstract presenters
  • Those whose participation will help enhance their work in their own communities
  • Those who are able to assist in the transfer of skills and knowledge acquired at the conference
  • Delegates from lower-income countries
  • Delegates who belong to key populations and people living with HIV

Financial assistance will be offered to community representatives, healthcare workers, junior investigators and media representatives from resource-limited settings.

 

SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants can request all or some of the following aspects of the scholarship to attend IAS 2019:

  • Conference registration fee (includes access to all sessions and exhibitions)
  • Travel (pre-paid airfare at the lowest fare available, from the nearest international airport)
  • Accommodation (in a budget hotel for the days of the conference only)
  • Modest daily living allowance for each day of the conference (21-24 July 2019).

 

APPLICATION

General delegates and abstract presenters who wish to request financial support for the conference need to submit a scholarship application form and a letter of recommendation from a manager, colleague or peer.

If your application form is incomplete or the recommendation letter is not submitted by 24 January 2019, 23:59 CET, your application will not be considered.
