Deadline: June 2, 2019.

YouthMappers and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) invite YouthMappers to participate in the 2019 Global YouthMappers Challenge in support of International Women’s Day. Student members of YouthMappers chapters who currently are and will be enrolled full-time in September 2019 at an institution of higher education with a YouthMappers chapter in good standing* are welcome to apply. Finalists will receive funding to attend the 2019 HOT Summit and the State of the Map Conference taking place in Heidelberg, Germany from September 19 – 23.

ELIGIBILITY

In order to participate, YouthMappers must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Student member of an active, official YouthMappers chapter in good standing*

2. Currently enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate students who will continue to be enrolled full-time Sept 2019

3. Over 18 years of age

4. Contribute quality map edits to the tasks supporting the Women’s Connect Challenge: Click here for Leaderboard and Task list

BENEFITS

1. HOT and YouthMappers will provide partial sponsorship to attend the 2019 HOT Summit and State of the Map Conference in Germany.

2. Covered costs will include: round-trip airfare from the nearest international airport to Frankfurt; modest, shared accommodation for 7 nights; small stipend for meals and transportation expenses; and up to $100 towards visa fees and/or passport costs.
