2019 British Council Creative Backslash Conference for UK based Individuals

Their team in Turkey are currently running an open call for academics, artists, creative and cultural professionals and policy makers to participate in networking conference “Creative Backslash” from the 12-14th June 2019 in Belgrade.
The conference forms part of a project called Connect to Creativity. The project aims to form a network of creative hubs across Europe to foster creative exploration and collaboration that contributes to building a more cohesive, open and connected civil society.
Creative Backslash will bring together distinguished lecturers, artists, creative entrepreneurs, hub representatives, students, academics and policy makers from across Europe, Turkey, the UK and the Balkans. It will feature inspiring keynote lectures, presentations, panel discussions and workshops, engaging the participants in important dialogues about the future of creative professions, as well as the notions and challenges of precarious work, co-creation and resilience.
ELIGIBILITY
1. They are inviting proposals from UK based individuals within the creative and cultural sectors to work with The British Council Turkey, ATÖLYE and Abdullah Gül University in Turkey, Bios in Greece and Nova Iskra in Serbia to participate in “Creative Backslash” a three day networking conference in Belgrade.
2. They are currently running an open call for participation for all interested academics, artists, creatives and technologists, creative and cultural professionals and policy makers.
3. Note that conference will be held only in English, therefore English proficiency is required for participation.
BENEFITS
A number of selected participants will have their travel and accommodation expenses covered by the project, but not any additional subsistence costs.
