2019 Aga Khan Foundation, IREX and Global Development Incubator Youth-Led Program for Youths in Mombasa

This nomination form is for youth-serving organizations in Mombasa to nominate young people between the ages of 18 and 35 years old to participate as youth inquiry leads in a Youth-led Inquiry Activity in June and July 2019.
In collaboration with Aga Khan Foundation and Global Development Incubator (GDI), IREX is conducting a youth-led inquiry activity in Mombasa, Kenya that will uncover the needs and opportunities for youth in the area. This initiative will provide an opportunity for youth to participate in a leadership development activity which will strengthen their soft-skills, networks, and knowledge of youth opportunities and needs in Mombasa.
NOMINATION
1. Youth-serving organizations: Nominate no more than 4 young people between the ages of 18-35 to participate as Youth Inquiry Leads.
2. Nominated youth should currently or have previously participated in your program(s).
Opportunity Youth Inquiry Leads:
• Between the ages of 18-35 years old
• Must not be currently enrolled in school or employed
• Demonstrated interest in gaining insight on youth needs and opportunities
• Demonstrated interest in gender and social inclusion issues
• Be based in one of the six sub-counties in Mombasa
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative on a task or project, work both independently and in team setting with others, speak confidently, and commit to a project from start to finish.
Experienced Youth Inquiry Leads:
• Between the ages of 18-35 years old
• Currently enrolled in school or employed
• Experience participating in or conducting interviews or other research activities with youth
• Demonstrated interest in gaining insight on youth needs and opportunities
• Demonstrated interest in gender and social inclusion issues
• Be based in one of the six sub-counties in Mombasa
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative on a task or project, work both independently and in team setting with others, speak confidently, and commit to a project from start to finish.
