2026 Eisenhower Global Scholars Program for U.S. Citizens

The Eisenhower Global Scholars Program sends up to four American university graduates abroad annually for an academic year of postgraduate studies at two prestigious European universities. 

Eisenhower Global Scholars, typically 20 to 30 years old, will spend a full academic year of intensive postgraduate study and hands-on work experience, leading to the following degrees.

The Eisenhower Global Scholars Program will send four outstanding American university
graduates abroad for the 2026-2027 academic year to prestigious universities in Europe for
intensive study and hands-on work experience in two major areas:

  • Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford
  • Master in International Relations at the IE School of Global & Public Affairs in Madrid.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents preferably between 20 and
30 years old and will have:

  • a track record of achievement, including a strong academic undergraduate record and
    community involvement
  • demonstrated leadership potential
  • a concrete project proposal that this international post-graduate study will advance.

BENEFITS

  1. Each Eisenhower Scholar will spend a full academic year of postgraduate study leading to
    a Master’s Degree at either the University of Oxford or IE University in Madrid.
  2. Eisenhower Fellowships covers all major expenses. All courses are offered in English.
  3. During their academic year of study, or after the school year is completed, the Scholars will
    meet with Eisenhower Fellows.
  4. Eisenhower Global Scholars will experience the lifelong connection to a network of like-minded leaders.
  5. The Scholars may be offered optional summer internships in collaboration with the EF Global Network.
