2025 UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship

Are you a young visionary ready to shape the future of education and advocacy for children?

UNICEF is looking for young visionaries and changemakers who are between 15  and 25 years old, driven to transform the education space, and advocate for the rights and well-being of children—both today and for future generations.

If you are a young education advocate, researcher, practitioner, Edtech entrepreneur, or innovator, and ready to make an impact in education and child rights, this fellowship is for you.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Interest/Experience: Demonstrated interest in education, research, youth engagement, and/or advocacy. Experience in facilitation, workshop delivery, STEAM, or advocacy campaigns is a plus.
  2. Commitment: Availability to dedicate 7–10 hours per week from January to September 2025.
  3. Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal); proficiency in English is required, with additional UN languages as a bonus
  4. Residency: Applicants must reside in one of the following countries: Algeria, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritania, Ecuador, Haiti, or the USA. 
  5. Applications are also open to participants in UNICEF regions of Europe & Central Asia, South Asia, and East Asia & the Pacific.

BENEFITS

As a UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellow, you will:

  • Be part of a global network of youth advocates and leaders.
  • Gain hands-on experience in child rights, foresight research, youth engagement, and advocacy.
  • Contribute to shaping education and child rights discussions on a global stage, including the Leading Minds Conference.
  • Will receive a stipend for work and contributions during the fellowship period.

APPLICATION

They’re accepting creative submission which allows you to demonstrate your vision of the future as part of the application process. The content could be submitted in a form of short story, video, poem, song, visual art and/or any other expressive methods of your choice.
