
2025 IAS Mark Wainberg Fellowship Programme for HIV Service Delivery

The Mark Wainberg Fellowship Programme, sponsored by the IAS, improves health services by training HIV physicians in Africa and Asia-Pacific to provide care that is tailored to various client groups, with a particular emphasis on stigma-free services.
The programme honours Mark Wainberg, an HIV researcher and activist who helped identify lamivudine, an important antiretroviral for HIV.
ELIGIBILITY
- The Mark Wainberg Fellowship Programme aims to enhance HIV service delivery in Africa and Asia-Pacific.
- It selects clinicians from these regions to spend one year in Europe and another in Africa or Asia-Pacific, receiving comprehensive training from leading clinical institutions.
