The Women Techsters program is a FREE 1-year experiential learning technology upskilling program that empowers young girls and women, ages 16 to 40 years across Africa with global in-demand skills relevant to kickstart careers and businesses in technology. The program aims to bridge the digital and technology knowledge divide between men and women in the technology ecosystem and ensure equal access to technology opportunities for women and girls.

The Women Techsters Fellowship is a highly competitive program, admitting only the top 3% of applicants. The Fellowship program will commence in September 2023 and run for a 1-year period. The first 6 months is a virtual technical and soft skills training, while the last 6 months are dedicated to experiential learning (Internship) or business incubation and mentorship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. The fellowship is currently available in 22 African countries (Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, DR Congo, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Algeria, Sudan, Morocco, Angola, Ghana, Mozambique, Madagascar, Botswana, Gambia, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra-Leone, Zambia, Zimbabwe)
2. You do not need a university degree before applying.
3. The fellowship is exclusive to the female gender.

1. The Women Techsters Fellowship is an all-encompassing training.
2. In addition to the technical training, beneficiaries are also trained in soft skills that equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in the tech ecosystem.
3. They are also given access to the Women Techsters Community of diverse yet like-minded women across Africa and presented with mentorship opportunities with industry experts.
4. There are internship opportunities available, but they are limited and competitive. However, participating in the intensive 6-month training program will equip you with valuable skills that can enable you to access future opportunities on your own and through our support
