2024 ECOWAS Bank Graduate Recruitment Program for Recent Graduates (Paid)

The Graduate Recruitment Program is aimed at high-level recent graduates who are under the age of thirty (30) at the time of recruitment. The selected candidates will be appointed as young executives in training at the Bank for a fixed-term contract (CDD) of two (2) years. They will have to pass a probationary period of six (6) months during which the parties may terminate their appointment without notice, and if they are satisfied during the two-year fixed-term contract (CDD), their appointments will be converted into permanent contracts, i.e. they become permanent staff members.
During the fixed-term contract (CDD) period, they will be rotated to the various departments in order to understand how they work and to become part of a team in which they will make valuable contributions. In addition, they will report to senior staff and become familiar with the Bank’s various development departments, policies and programs.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates from ECOWAS member countries who meet the following requirements may apply for this programme:
- be 30 years of age or older at the time of recruitment
- hold a baccalaureate +5 degree (MASTER, DESS) or an equivalent diploma in line with the Bank’s operations, including private sector operations, public sector operations, infrastructure, risk management, asset/liability management, finance, audit, legal advice, communication and marketing, language services, or any other field of study relevant to the Bank’s operations.
- ability to work in a team and under pressure in a multicultural context.
- Have good analytical and synthesis skills, organizational skills, planning and priority setting;
- Have a good command of relevant information retrieval techniques (e.g., banking analysis, statistics, monitoring of competitive trends) from external sources, mainly electronic and other professionally recognized media.
- have a good command of office tools (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point).
- have excellent communication skills in French and/or English and/or Portuguese, and a good knowledge of one of the other two languages).
BENEFITS
- In addition to the salary corresponding to this grade, various allowances will be paid (post adjustment, housing and transport allowances, family allowances if applicable).
- In addition, young graduates will be affiliated to the Bank’s pension fund and, during the period of their appointment, will benefit from group insurance covering the following risks: death and permanent, total and permanent disability, temporary incapacity for work, partial permanent disability, sickness, personal accidents.
