The Ahimsa Fellowship is India’s first Fellowship of its kind that transforms dedicated individuals into skilled animal protection advocates.

Through rigorous and intensive training over the course of eigth months, Fellows gain the knowledge and tools for effective advocacy, policy engagement, and on-the-ground action.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Having good command over written and spoken English is necessary. Additionally, command over Hindi language (in a Hindi speaking State) or dominant vernacular language (in non-Hindi speaking States) is highly preferred.
2.  Only individuals who are willing to commit to the full duration of 8 months may apply.
3. They invite applications from passionate individuals who are motivated about contributing to the animal welfare/animal rights movement in India.
4. Graduation degree in any discipline
5. Good communication skills [English and a regional language (desirable)]
6. Between 21 and 39  years old as on 31 December 2024
7. Be available to attend the entire 8-month duration of the Fellowship programme

11. For the duration of the Fellowship, a monthly stipend will be offered to each Fellow. The stipend is provided to cover cost of expenses required for the execution of projects and milestones.
12. At the end of the Fellowship, Fellows may be recommended to Animal Protection Organisations across India.
13. Selected promising projects will also seed grants and incubation support through the Ahimsa Fellowship Incubation Cell.

STAGE 1 – Application Form

• On the Fellowship dashboard, visit Fellowship Registration that has 5 sub-sections and beginning with the Personal Information section. 
• You need to ‘Update’ each section to save your progress. Please note that you cannot fill a section partially to save your progress.
• Once you have completed filling the entire form, you need to lock your form and submit it for it to be considered for evaluation.

STAGE 2 – Personal Interview

• The Fellowship Dashboard will update for applicants who clear Stage 1 and they will be invited for a virtual interview.

STAGE 3 – Online Assessment

• Details about the online assessment will be provided to candidates who clear the interview.

STAGE 4 – Panel Interview

• If you perform well in the assessment, you’ll proceed to the final stage: a panel interview.
• Candidates who successfully pass Stage 4 will secure a spot in Cohort 4 (2024–25) of the Ahimsa Fellowship once all documentation formalities are finalised.
