The Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant is an Agricultural Entrepreneurship grant designed to support young people with viable Agri-Business with equity-free capital and other associated support they may require to scale their businesses.

The project is an initiative developed and sponsored by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) in partnership with NYSC and implemented by Fate Foundation. It is targeted at currently serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members – as part of BATNF’s drive to encourage and support the youth in sustainable agriculture.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Businesses of all stages are welcome to apply. Whether they are at the idea stage prototype/testing stage or even Post-revenue stage
2. This cohort of the Farmers for the Future youth challenge is open to all active serving Corp Members, with at most 3 months remaining to the completion of their service year. Specifically, Corp Members of Batch 20 A.
3. Specifically businesses that fall into the following categories: Crop Farming, Livestock/ Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Product Logistics and Distribution, Agro Commodity Trading, Aquaculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Mechanization, Agricultural Produce Processing, AgTech, Agric Financing, Agric Education and Stakeholder Support are eligible to apply.

BENEFITS

1. 1st Cash prize of N3,000,000
2. 2nd Cash prize of N2,000,000
3. 3rd Cash prize of N1,000,000

In addition to:

1. Linkage to financial institutions and investors for follow-on financing and/or credit facilities
2. Winners will get technical support to establish their agribusiness
3. Participation in an intensive “Think-through-your-business” boot camp
4. Mentorship under seasoned entreprenuers and Agric Experts
5. Membership of the F4F alumni network
6. Participation in other partner-drive training programs
7. Support with business registration & other legal & regulatory requirements
