2021 Global Peacebuilders Program Primary Course for Non-Japanese

Deadline: October 20, 2021,

The Primary Course is designed for people who have the strong will to build their careers in the field of peacebuilding and development to acquire the required practical knowledge and skills through participation in a 5-week Coursework in Japan.

This course expects to host around10 participants from Japan and 10 participants from other countries.

Duration: Tuesday, January 18, 2022-Friday, February 18, 2022 (approximately 5 weeks)

*Monday, February 21 and Tuesday, February 22 are optional.

Venue: Tokyo and Hiroshima City

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Those from the following countries/ organizations are eligible to apply for this year’s program: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Sudan and AUC. 
  2. The Mid-Career Course provides 7-day training to those who have about 10 years of work experience in the fields related to peacebuilding and/or development, in order to further advance their professional careers in particular at the United Nations and other international organizations.

BENEFITS

  1. No fees (except fees necessary for his/her participation online) charged
  2. Fully funded for selected participants (including travel fees, traveler’s insurance, accommodation fees, and living expenses)
