2020 FORBES 30 Under 30 Nominations For US/Canada and Europe
Deadline: November 1, 2019.
Nominations for Forbes’ 2020 30 Under 30 list are now open.
For the ninth year straight, Forbes is looking for the best and boldest young leaders, creators and thinkers to join our dynamic Under 30 community. Founders, funders, philanthropists, foodies, filmmakers, fashionistas—they’re all here. It’s an impressive club. Last year’s honorees featured musicians like Billie Eilish and Camila Cabello streaming their way to sellout shows, and actors like Timothee Chalamet and Rachel Brosnahan transforming risky roles into Hollywood stardom. Past honorees also include Spotify’s Daniel Ek, Away’s Steph Korey & Jen Rubio, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Glossier’s Emily Weiss and Instagram’s Kevin Systrom. With an acceptance rate below 5%, competition is intense.
For the U.S./Canada list, there are 20 categories: Art & Style, Consumer Tech, Education, Energy, Enterprise Tech, Finance, Food & Drink, Games, Healthcare, Hollywood & Entertainment, Law & Policy, Manufacturing & Industry, Marketing & Advertising, Media, Music, Retail & Commerce, Science, Social Entrepreneurs, Sports, Venture Capital.
For the Europe list, there are 10 categories: Art & Culture, Finance, Media & Marketing, Science & Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs, Sports & Games, Entertainment, Manufacturing & Industry, Retail & Ecommerce, and Technology.
The reporters and editors take a holistic approach in evaluating nominees. There is no metric (funding, revenue, partnerships, impact etc) that is a silver bullet for getting on the list. Therefore, it is recommended to include all of the most impressive attributes that put the candidate’s best foot forward.
