2019 One Young World Lagos Caucus for Young ChangeMakers

Deadline: Ongoing

One Young World is excited to invite its community in West Africa and beyond to attend the OYW Caucus in Lagos on the 13th of July.

The world’s most populous African nation, Nigeria is faced with many challenges: over 20 million youths are currently unemployed, over 80 million people are living below the poverty line and over 90% of its citizens do not have health insurance coverage. It is evident that we need a new strategy and innovative approaches to create a better future. Nigeria stands at a crossroads: to embrace the power of unconventional thinking and forge ahead, or to retreat into conventional ways of doing things and fall behind.

Caucus theme: “Better innovation, better future”

Open to young changemakers.

1. This One Young World West Africa caucus in Lagos aims to create solutions to Nigeria’s and Africa’s challenges by inspiring and educating the audience on how to develop and deliver innovation as a powerful public good.

2. They are bringing together leading policymakers, experts and young leaders who will participate in intergenerational dialogue on how we can ensure sustainable innovation and promote policies that will guarantee equitable access to healthcare, education, and opportunities especially for people in underprivileged communities.

When: Saturday, 13th of July, 9:30 – 15:30
