MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition (ASC) is a yearly competition initiated by the MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab since 2006. This annual competition is designed to empower entrepreneurs and foster an eco-system of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arab Region. ASC pits entrepreneurs in three different tracks: Ideas, Startups and Social Entrepreneurship Track. The winning teams are awarded 160K USD in equity free fund and benefit from a range of other activities including top tier trainings, mentorship, coaching, media exposure and great networking opportunities.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Choose the Track that suits your product/service best. Note that when you start filling
your application, you will no longer be able to change the track and note that for all tracks, having a team of at least 2 members is required.

1.Startups Track

Working product/service, traction and sales
Generating yearly revenues
Have not raised funding above 1,500,000 USD
Legally registered in an Arab country or registered abroad and operating in an Arab country

Tech or Digital industry

2. Ideas Track

proof of concept for the ideas and a prototype

Having the startup registered is a plus
Validated Business model with a clear plan on how to grow
Tech or Digital industry

3. Social Entrepreneurship Track

Working product/service addressing a social challenge with a For-Profit
model
Generating yearly revenues
Have not raised funding above 1,500,000 USD
Legally registered in an Arab country or registered abroad and operating
in an Arab country
Tech or Digital industry

BENEFITS

1. Participants are expected to pay for their own flight tickets.

2. The MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab will be paying all other expenses for up to two team members per team, including accommodation, ground transportation to and from the event venue.
