2024 Nigeria Youth SDGs Project Manager Recruitment (Enugu Hybrid working)

NGYouthSDGs is looking for a Project Manager to help drive change by and for youth in Enugu, Nigeria. You will be joining a team of caring and committed individuals who believe in supporting the bold ideas of young people and grassroots organizations to deepen their impact and advocate for youth rights. RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will be doing:

  • Formulate and execute effective strategies to ensure the successful delivery of the youth program.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to foster partnerships and support for the programme.
  • Oversee day-to-day programme activities, ensuring adherence to the project timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other capacity-building initiatives.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact and effectiveness of the programme.
  • Manage the programme budget efficiently, ensuring proper allocation of resources and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to internal and external stakeholders as required.

REQUIRMENTS/ELIGIBILITY

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, economics, international development, social enterprise, philanthropy or related fields.
  • Demonstrable track record with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in program management, event management, facilitation, stakeholders management and analysis-driven insight for the nonprofit, charitable or social enterprise sector; or having transferable skills from the private or public sectors such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) or environmental social and governance (ESG) that can be adapted to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic analysis, problem-solving, and team building and management.
  • Strong writing skills in policy research, report writing and concept note development.
  • Expertise in social and economic inclusion, livelihoods, education and civic participation for youth.
  • Diplomatic with strong interpersonal skills, and a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
  • Proactive leader with excellent communication and relationship skills; demonstrating also the ability to prioritise and effectively manage competing work streams and deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skill.

Desired

  • Experience designing and implementing youth action projects.
  • Experience supporting business development in proposal/concept note development.
  • Experience in policy research and development.

SALARY

Salary: N170,000 Naira
